New mods for July 2007
1) the controller is now providing brakes when power goes off (at the least the first 0,5 second).
2) The brake function is now independant of the track voltage. At high track voltages makes it easier to dial on more brakes.
3) A new surface-treatment of the PC-board in the handle makes for a smooth trigger-response.
Continuously adjustable sensitivity for everything from HO to G7 open Wing and EuroSport Cars.
25 steps, all steps, including the first, of equal size independent of the load.
Current capability: 70A continuous, 200A peak Power handling: 200W
Output impedance less than 0.010 Ohms. Continuously adjustable choke from 0-2V (0-30’)
Continuously adjustable brake from 0.1 to more than 10 Ohms. Max brake current 60A peak, 2A continuously. Brake power handling: 100W.
Protected against faulty hook-up with automatic re-useable fuse.
Regulated fan cooling ensures safe temperatures even with full choke on Eurosport and wing cars.
Note: Controllers can only be used on tracks with "positive gate".
CarSteen-controllers are protected against faulty hook-up. Most of the time a mistake during hook-up will result in nothing or a blown fuse.
The internal electronics are able to withstand very high currents, several hundred amperes.
